This is not even a real site yet. It is a sneak peek into a building directory I put up to show my friends what I'm working on. I was encouraged to open this up to the public, and it didn't take too much encouragement as I'm rather proud of what little I've done so far. This page here is nowhere near completed, but shows the beta of the splash graphic for Moonlight Manor. I've just added a What's New / Progress Report page with the letter interface for the stationary used by the Moon Palace designer (who writes often since it's her house and her family and friends living there--she's away on the Moon working on building the Moon Palace, and is never mentioned by name--sort of like the main character in Rebecca). This can also be accessed in the vestibule by clicking the envelope holder on the wall. I plan to use this interface (without the top-middle text graphic) with different stamps for most of the letters she writes, which will be scattered throughout the house along with a lot of other little extras. I think it's pretty spiffy, so you might want to take a peek. I'll be using it for most of these messages in the future, leaving this space free for occasional announcements of substantial changes (for your convenience) and for my zillions of disclaimers. I really ought to slim them down, but how are people to know this is a building directory rather than a "finished" site otherwise? I'm touchy, ya know. Don't want people thinking I consider this more than a mess-in-progress. (Although it is a mess I'm inordinately proud of at this point.) The best room here so far, the drawing room, is "mostly finished" in that it just needs some more interactive stuff added--the desk can't be examined in more detail yet, I need to add a few more links, I need to work on my voices, things like that. The 1st floor foyer and the vestibule, and the second floor balcony are also similarly "mostly done" now. I'm currently working on the KarmaStorm Nook and it *looks* like it'll be done soon. Oh, btw, the elevator works now, but it just takes you to the empty foyers of each floor. Not terribly exciting unless you just want to see how the elevator works or see the 2nd floor balcony (I haven't done the voices for it yet, though) which is behind the 2nd floor foyer--there's a clear gif onmouseover with a little arrow showing the way if you just wave your mouse below the room graphic. Eventually I may make "looking south" versions of the foyers for entering the balconies, but that's a job for another time when I'm feeling a little less impatient. I've put up the floor plans I'm planning to work off of for the first floor if you'd like to see them. There is also a guestbook now, which can be signed with Antarean glowberry ink. Both I and the Spooks would very much appreciate it if you would let us know how you enjoyed your visit. What's here isn't complete enough to call a site yet, under construction or otherwise. If you look at what's here as an opportunity to peek at secret things rather than a site under construction, I welcome you. You can ask Luna for a diamond now as I've got the treasure box coded into the site. Like everything else, it's not entirely finished, but it's close enough to give you a sneak peek at how things will work when the site is finished. After asking Luna for a diamond, look at your treasure box--you'll find that she's put a diamond inside of it for you. (Awfully generous of her, eh?) |
