This butterfly is actually a Gossamer, having about a 12" wingspan. You would expect a butterfly like this to be widely known, displayed, painted, carved, worshipped, or at least mentioned somewhere in the ancient writings of this world. But no one has found any reference to this butterfly. Whether this was because they were as scared of it as we were when we stumbled upon it, we can't tell. But we only saw this one, sitting on a treeblossom as we sailed past in our boat. No one volunteered to catch it.
