The Haunted Maze

Back when the Halloween Ball was new, Eugene S. Wittingsworth, a very successful artist and writer, first suggested the idea of a Haunted Maze. Eugene, with several of the Palace's architects, took the blueprints for the deep recesses of the building, and came up with the maze itself.

Sometime during the maze's original construction, Eugene went missing. As doors were bricked up and new hallways constructed below Luna's surface, several of the workmen claimed to hear Eugene's footsteps, or to find drawings on the walls in a style similar to Wittingsworth's. No trace of him -- living or dead -- has been found.

Below the Ballroom, varying in level and surroundings, lies the three-doored entrance to the catachombs within. A safety switch was put into each of the rooms, allowing anyone who is lost to find his or her way out. For those strong enough to find their way, a paradise awaits. To enter the maze, select one of the doors above.
