There are twelve signs in the Chinese zodiac, and five elements: Metal, Earth, Fire, Water, and Wood.
Details about how each element influences the different zodiac signs will be on the Chinese zodiac pages I'm working
on right now. When I've got a beta page finished for the Horse, I'll put the link here so you can read more
detailed information about Horses and about how the different elements modify their personalities. Here's a basic Chinese-restaurant-place-mat type of description for Horses: "Attractive to the opposite sex. You are often ostentatious and impatient. You need people. You are very popular and good at sports. Ambitious and independent you go your own way. Marry a Tiger, Sheep, or a Dog, but never a Rat." 1997 is the Year of the Ox, here's how Horses are expected to fare in 1997, according to Theodora Lau's book, The Handbook of Chinese Horoscopes: "Life will be smoother for the Horse in the year of the Ox. He will still have to wrok hard to achieve his goals but he will be iven the power to control his own situation. Few untoward incidents and some monetary gains are in store for him. Problems tend to come froom children and subordinates."
