Snowy Night set

About this set:
I've always loved to stand under streetlights at night and watch the snow come down, silently and seemingly endlessly, like a dream. This set has three versions, one has a background with just snowflakes, one also has white holiday lights, and one also has blue and green holiday lights and comes with a cute little matching Christmas tree graphic to use with it. There are normal versions of all the buttons, java versions of all the buttons with snowflakes which sparkle, some java navigation snowflakes, and several bullets and bars. I hope this set will bring some of the magic of a snowy night to your pages. Enjoy!

If you'd like to use a java snowflake for navigation, there are a number of different ones set up and explained on the Java Snowflake page.

Terms of Use:
This set is linkware. It may be used by personal, non-commercial sites, provided a link credit is given on the same page on which these graphics are used. Please link them to http://www.jade-leaves.com/, using one of the Jade Leaves Designs logo graphics below (or both if you want to do the java thing where it lights up). Both versions are included in the zip file of buttons--you can use either the java version of my logo or a non-java version. Here's the lit and non-lit Jade Leaves Designs logo in case you're not downloading all the buttons:

Technical Notes:
To properly align the text on a page with a border background, one can set the page into a table with two columns, the first containing a 1x1 pixel clear gif set to the width of the border. If you don't know how to do this, please save the clear gif at the right and view the source of this page to see how I've done it. The font used on the buttons is French Script MT at 30 pixels, using white. You may make your own buttons by laying text over the blank button I've provided. You can set the width of the silver line above to whatever you like--make it shorter or longer to fit your design. I also have this ridiculously long snowflake line below should you want a long snowflake line instead of the very short one.

Java Buttons:
For this set, I've made a bunch of java buttons, as well as normal versions which don't light up. To use the java buttons, download the zip of java button images, and copy the code used in this page, filling in the links you wish them to point to. If you'd like the non-java versions of these buttons, download the zip of normal button images. If you'd like to make your own buttons, use the blank versions of these buttons and place your own text on them. If you cannot figure out how to use this by looking at the source for this page, I would humbly suggest that you use the normal buttons as I am unable to provide technical support for these. You will find two blank buttons (an "on" and an "off") in the zip file, you may use these to make your own extra buttons. For best results, use a program which allows you to create the text in a separate layer, OR, use different text, like "Halloween" and "Scary Stuff!" so that differences in the placement of the text will be less glaring. (Making your own buttons might be more than you want to bite off if you're not comfortable with manipulating graphics.) I can, however, be hired at very affordable rates to help you with these should you so desire.
